          Named after German engineer Gustav Winter, born May 10, 1893 in Zastler in the Black Forest, the villa is shrouded in rumor and mystery. The house was built in 1936.
          Gustav Winter has been working in Spain since 1915 and was involved in various projects.
          The current speculations about the tasks of Gustav Winter and the function of the finca in Cofete are:
          - Establishment of a secret submarine port during WW2
          - Temporary accommodation of Nazi greats and their transport to South America at the end or after the end of the Second World War.

          However, statements made by Winter in an interview given shortly before his death in 1971 have fueled speculation ever since: he stated that the villa was built in 1958. As a reason for the extremely remote and difficult to reach location, he cited being a nature lover.
