    Świnoujście has a beautiful and quite long promenade with many houses featuring seaside architecture. This promenade runs (crossing the border) through Ahlbeck
    and Heringsdorf to Bansin. It is about 12 kilometers long.
    It is also called "the longest promenade in Europe."
    Compared to Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck, Świnoujście has a few special features.
    First, the numerous kiosks selling food and drinks
    as well as souvenirs are striking. Second, there is a small forest
    between the promenade and the beach. In Świnoujście, the sand that is carried by the sea in other parts of the island washes up.
    While the beach used to begin just behind the promenade, today there are 200 meters here and there between
    the promenade and the beach.
    The sea is thus moving further and further away from the Świnoujście promenade.
