The Harrbach barrage (Main km 219.53) has a length of 12.82 km (main section). It consists of (from left to right in the direction of flow) a large shipping lock, a boat lock with adjacent fish ladder, a movable weir and a hydroelectric power station. The left and right banks are connected by a weir bridge that is open to the public.

The weir system was put into operation in 1940 and consists of three fields, each 30 m wide. The dam is regulated by three different weir locks. A normal roller is installed in the left weir field, a three-belt gate with flap in the middle weir field and a normal roller in the right weir field. The maximum head is 4.90 m.

The theoretical service life of the weir system of 80 years has already been exceeded. For years there has been increasing damage and signs of wear on the solid structure, the weir locks and the electrical and control technology. The investigations carried out in recent years show that the weir requires a comprehensive basic repair with the replacement of all locks.
