Near the Macaco fork, the path is declared unsafe. There are some slightly collapsed points in which to pay attention but it is passable, however I would not recommend it for inexperienced hikers. It is a nice quiet and lonely pond. If you want to avoid the traffic of the Paion - Bombasel section, you can take the tour from Cimon del To dela Trapola (very scenic). Alternatively, for the more trained, go up directly from the valley passing through the Lagorai lake. The old path is quite bumpy because it has collapsed, but it is passable (at the moment they are working on the lake and the road is temporarily closed).

The Lagorai are known for the fact that you often hardly meet any other hikers on long stretches because there are hardly any lifts and instead of shelters you often only find bivouac boxes. If you do use the lifts from Cavalese to the Paion de Cermis, you will still find a lot of hiking traffic up to the Laghi di Bombasel. After that, however, in the direction of Laghetti di Lagorai and the highest point of the middle Lagorai Cimon delle Suite, you won't find a soul anymore....
The water is quite cool, but for the courageous there is also a swimming opportunity when the weather is nice
