Bibbona is a characteristic town in the hills south-east of Cecina, at the beginning of the Maremma Livornese, (once called Maremma Pisana).
The most advisable route, coming from North-West, is the one that starts from Cecina, not far from the Hospital, and climbs up the beautiful hilly road that from Montescudaio passes through Guardistallo and Casale Marittimo and then descends to Bibbona. If you want, you can shorten the journey by cutting directly from Cecina to Guardistallo or Casale, but the road is panoramic (woods, vineyards, olive groves and cultivated fields), fun with its curves and ups and downs (and of course, in some stretches, challenging) deserves to be traveled. Also for this reason the territory around Bibbona has long been the favorite training area of the national cycling team.
