Lake Moledana is located above Verceia, at the beginning of the Valle dei Ratti, at the eastern end of the Tracciolino.
The Path of the Tracciolino, about 10 kilometers long, runs at a constant height of 912 meters between the Val dei Ratti and Val Codera.
It was built in the 1930s to connect two dams via a narrow gauge train. The eastern section from the Moledana dam to San Giorgio is the most spectacular with various tunnels, bridges and sections carved into the rock.
