The old postal road to Bötzow is a great hiking trail through mixed and pine forests and is reminiscent of earlier times. Along the road you will find waymarks such as the postal milestone with some exciting information about the former postal road between Berlin and Hamburg.

The local history association Bötzow e.V. is working together with the research group Milestones e.V. to research and document the old "Berlin-Hamburger Poststrasse" around 1800. Among other things, this creates a map with the course of the postal route and the historical locations of the milestones along it. Full-mile, half-mile and quarter-milestones are set up along the route.
