A technical monument of the first order can be found in the paper mill Wolfswinkel, founded in 1762: the still functional production department for hand-made handmade paper. The plants were originally located in the south of Eberswalde paper factory Spechthausen (founded in 1781) and were built after their decommissioning 1956-1957 in Wolfswinkel. These include two "Dutch" in which the raw material is ground and mixed, three tiled Schöpfbütten, cast iron presses and a calender to smooth the finished sheets.
The water tower and the paper machine hall (1928-1929) built under the direction of the Siemens architect Hans Hertlein are the main signs of the radical modernization of the twenties of the 20th century. The Berlin-based Siemens Schuckertwerke had acquired the Wolfswinkel paper mill in 1917 and produced cable and insulating papers there.
