The famous stonemason Robert Garcet began building the tower with his own hands in 1948. He was able to complete it 15 years later. The flints used to build the tower give it an atypical style. The tower has seven floors on which there is a terrace guarded by four spectacular sculptures of winged animals. The entire tower is 33 meters high and offers a view of the Geer valley.

This 'apocalypic' vision, named after the nature reserve in the Geer Valley, was largely built between 1953 and 1966 in the hard flint or flint that is common here.
The four corner towers are topped by monumental cherubim, such as the sphinx Michael, Ariel the winged lion, Israel the bull and Azazel the eagle. The creator of this bizarre structure was the self-taught Robert Garcet. He was simultaneously a historian and archaeologist and one of the first conscientious objectors in our country against the violence of war.
