Gatow also had a mill, of course. A post mill was built on the 52 m high Kirchberg - today Windmühlenberg - around 1845. As part of the district's 750th anniversary, the historic post mill on Buchwaldzeile, which had once burned down, was rebuilt in the center of Gatow in 2007/2008. This means that the village's former landmark can once again be admired.

The year the post mill was built varies greatly depending on the source (between 1824 and 1845). It stood on the Windmühlenberg in Gatow until 1921 as a landmark of the small village on the Havel.
