In 1803, Archduke Johann of Austria (1782–1852) built a Tyrolean farmhouse in the palace park on the hill on which the Gloriette stands in the center. He ran a small cattle farm and laid out an alpine garden. After the end of the monarchy, the farm became a popular excursion inn. In 1984 the dilapidated buildings were demolished. In 1994 the hereditary farm of the Neuhauser family from Brandenberg in Tyrol, which has been under monument protection since 1986, was set up in the Tyrolean Garden. There has been a restaurant there since 1997.
