    Les pozzines are accessible from the Val d'Ese ski resort (our choice because there is less height difference and less length 10km, 240m positive) or by the Col de Verde (15km, 900m positive).
    Allow 6 hours for the loop with a 6 year old child and breaks included (4 hours otherwise).
    Easy and pleasant hike for adults with fantastic landscapes, wild horses... to Pozzines.
    Then return through the witches' forest ^^ ... a great day with the family!

        This high moor is a very special feast for the eyes. (Almost) as far as the eye can see these openings in the ground which are filled with water in spring and, depending on the weather, sometimes until late summer.

          One of my favorite places on the most beautiful of all islands. The wonderfully shaped pools of this high moor invite you to linger and be amazed and are surrounded by stony rocks. You should have plenty of time to enjoy everything.

              In our hiking guide, the hike was given as taking 4.5 hours. These are tours that we like and can manage well. However, this one took us almost seven hours, and that was without long breaks. (Maybe 3 x 15 minutes).
              In our opinion, you should set off early so that you don't get stressed in the evening. We are 56 and 58 years old, not particularly trained, and found the hike very beautiful, so recommendable, apart from the first part along the ski lift. But it was also strenuous.
