Straightforward Levada, which certainly has its charm, e.g. through the light eucalyptus forests and the vegetation along the levada. If you do not want to go back, you will find a waiting taxi at the exit.

If you happen to be in the Hotel Atrio, which is highly recommended, you can start walking directly at the hotel. I only did a small solo tour on arrival day. The Levada Nova can also be hiked for longer stretches.

Although this "western part" seems to be chosen quite arbitrarily here, it speaks for itself ... And also for the entire Levada! After all, the Lev. Nova almost 40km long and combined with the bus 142 or 80 from Rodeste you can go on beautiful routes ...
