Manufactum uses a total of three halls of the Waltrop colliery. While the sales rooms are located in the former washhouse, the central machine hall of the mine was completed as an administrative building. The Waltroper "bread & butter" shop opened in 2001, the first of its kind at that time, is located in the left wing of the department store.

Where once was malocht on the Waltrop colliery can be impressed in this day and age to experience how mining and industry have shaped the Ruhr.
The Waltrop colliery was built in 1900 and is today a monument and some halls have been given a new use.
If you look at the colliery from the outside, the beautiful architecture and the good condition of the building stand out.
The facilities are, similar to the pit Zollern or Zollverein, uniform and coordinated.
In some halls is the Manufactum company, which focuses on long-lasting, resource-saving products.
In short, it's about sustainability.
A special sales room is housed in Machine Hall I.
In addition there is the grocery store bread & butter in the former Kaue.
In the old Lohnhalle a restaurant and cafe can be found.
Where once in the Lohnhalle the buddies got their money to drink coffee is just wonderful, you should definitely make a really great place.

Simply the tastiest rolls in Waltrop ... !!! But of course not only the rolls are a treat for the palate ... :-) The chocolate and the cake are also terrific ... :-)
