From there you can reach the following: ascent to the Schermberg from the south, the junction to the Tembergscharte and to path 201 in the direction of the Prielschutzhaus and the further route in a south-west direction on the so-called Ausseer Weg to the Pühringerhütte. Arrived on the plateau, it becomes clear where the Dead Mountains got their name from: The rocky desert stretches in all directions and past the Temlberg the view goes to the Dachstein.
