La Pared is a small town on the west coast of Fuerteventura, far from mass tourism, noisy clubs and bars, but with lots of nature, sports facilities, relaxation and history.
The municipality and the urbanization of La Pared, which was built about 40 years ago, belong to Pájara. The name of the town of La Pared is due to a stone wall that crossed the town before the 15th century and divided Fuerteventura into two parts. It went from the town of Matas Blancas to the Pasa si Podemos mountain, near the current urbanization. The island measures 110 kilometers in length, with the widest point being 30 kilometers and the narrowest being only about 5 kilometers.

It is about 3 km to the quiet sandy beach Playa del Viejo Rey and about 7 km to the holiday center Costa Calma with its beautiful sandy beach Playa de Sotavento. In La Pared there is a fish restaurant, a surf school, a small golf course and a riding stable.
