Eton College is an independent, tuition-funded high school for boys (a so-called Public School) in Eton in the English county of Berkshire.
At Eton College, some 1300 boys between the ages of 13 and 18 go to school. With school fees of £ 12,354 per term (with three terms forming one school year), the school is one of the most expensive boarding schools. In addition, there are additional fees for music lessons, participation in sports activities (rowing, fencing, rugby and others) as well as the cost of the prescribed school clothes.
The college is known for the influence of its former students (Old Etonians) and its ancient traditions and very own team sports. This includes the black school uniform. The school was visited by several representatives of the British royal family, and there are also 19 British prime ministers among their former students.
