The legend of the fall of the Enamorado (memorial to his memory) tells the story of a brave shepherd who falls in love with a beautiful peasant woman, who in return challenges him to jump his spear across the gorge. Blinded by love, he plunges into the depths of the gorge and dies.

Interesting place - unfortunately the tour guides of the cruise ships also know this ... At times the place is overrun with tourists and the associated small parking lot of buses is really parked.
