Every year in December, a special manifestation of the goliards takes place in Sassari in Trento avenue in order to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas holidays: it is the "Carruzzi" Festival. The carruzzi ("carretti"in Italian, “chariots” in English ), are ramshackle objects (bathtubs, beds, armchairs or simply a mixture of wood and cardboard) equipped with wheels, which run dangerously among the people at high speed on the very steep street, until they stop or collapse against a sidewalk, a pole or sometimes even spectators
