Update August 2024: This highlight is no longer 100% correct after several closures.
The Schaarsbergen route is an absolute playground, full of banked bends and more elevation gain than you would think. The constant technical steering, climbing and descending is good for your legs, while you make your way through a beautiful forest. The route is not inferior to an average mountain bike route on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The volunteers of MTB Veluwe Zuid did a good job!
The route is also easy to combine with other routes of MTB Veluwe Zuid (Arnhem, Ede etc.) and the Natuurmonumenten Rheden route on the Veluwezoom. Although someone who can steer well would dare to do this on a gravel bike, I would mainly do this with an MTB because of the technical level.
