Willys Ruh is available to hikers for a night or to take a break from April to October.

It sleeps about 20 people, ten in bunk beds downstairs and at least ten more on the newly renovated sleeping loft. There is a tiled stove with an open fire in the main room and a fireplace in the bedroom, seating and a composting toilet outside. The next source of water is probably the Taubenbach (about one and a half kilometers and about 100 meters in altitude away.

You need trekking tickets (can be purchased in advance, for example, at Bad Schandau train station, Globetrotter Dresden or Camp4 in Berlin) worth 10 euros per adult and 1 euro per child (up to 17 years of age). The ticket is validated on the day of the overnight stay by entering the date and thrown into a corresponding box.

The "Willys Ruh" trekking hut is an old border hut, the basic structure of which is over 100 years old. The hut is named after Willy Müller, who was a forester here in the 1960s.

The trekking hut is located on the Hühnerberg at an elevation of approximately 430 meters between Fuchsteich and Taubenteich in the Rosenthal forest district. It is about 1 kilometer from the "Forststeig Elbsandstein" trekking route and is easily accessible via a detour.

The forest hut has the following facilities:
- Common room with wood-burning stove
- 10 beds on wooden frames and 15 seats
- Composting toilet
- Rainwater collector for domestic water

Highly recommended overnight accommodation on the Forststeig. 5 double bunk beds, 1 fireplace and 1 fireplace, rainwater collecting tank for service water available. Wonderfully quiet and 100% no cellular network! Wonderfully quiet location.
