The Mühlenhof open-air museum is a very special place, because a piece of the culture and history of the Münsterland has been preserved here with great passion. On the approximately five-hectare site near Münster, visitors can expect 30 large and small buildings from the 17th to 20th centuries. Many of the buildings are original buildings from that time and were originally located in rural Münsterland, some others were reconstructed based on old models. The inside of the houses is equipped with historical inventory, so that guests get a real impression of the habits and living conditions as well as working methods of the Münsterland of days gone by.
