    The village church Bestensee is located on the corner of Königs Wusterhausener Straße and Hauptstraße. It was built in the second half of the 14th century. In the years 1883 to 1884 the church in the west was expanded with the roof tower and the southern porch. It was extensively restored between 1975 and 1980.

      The field stone church in Bestensee is an impressive testimony to medieval village churches. The building was probably built towards the end of the 14th century. The building consists of roughly hewn fieldstones, only the west wall of the tower is designed with red bricks, which is striking for the region.

          The evangelical village church of Bestesee is a sacred building from the 14th century. An exact date of construction is not known. Experts assume that the church was probably built towards the end of the 14th century, possibly around 1375. In 1883 and 1884 the parish extended the structure to the west, adding the tower and a porch on the south side of the church. At the end of the 19th century, it extended the southern gallery to the altar wall and extended it by five meters at the western gable. Around 1915 the church received electric lighting. It was extensively restored between 1975 and 1980.
