In summer, the Krumme lake invites you to swim and the bathing area is well visited. The Krumme lake does not have its name by chance: over two kilometers it extends over several turns. It was created at the end of the last ice age over 15,000 years ago. At its lowest point it is about ten feet deep.

The Krumme See is a 27.11 hectare body of water. To the west is the municipality of Krummensee, east of Zeesen. In the south lies the Sutschketal nature reserve and the Groß Beste community part. From there, the Pritzelgraben is the only tributary that flows into the Krummen See, which emerges again on the northern bank and drains into the Notte after around two kilometers further north.
