Attention: definitely not suitable as a departure! The road quality is too bad: Potholes and gravel make the descent very dangerous.

The driveway is great if you want to give yourself the edge: hard and long, but shady and no traffic. The potholes can be well avoided during the ascent.

Nice for ascending if you want to get wasted: Long and steep, as compensation shady woods and emergency traffic. On the ascend the potholes are not the problem.

Once differently on the Grand Ballon. From Moosch first on a normal road it goes from Geishouse over a small lane on completely poor traffic route up to the Routes des Crètes and then on to the Grand Ballon. However, with steep gradients up to 13% and higher up the asphalt leaves something to be desired, but enough to boot.
