Książęca Bażantarnia - a building in the late Classicist style, located in Poręba, in the commune of Pszczyna, funded by the Duke of Pszczyna, Frederick Erdmann, and built in the years 1792-1800, under the supervision of Wilhelm Push, according to the design of Carl Gotthard Langhans.

The idea of establishing a pheasant farm in Poręba was born relatively early, already in 1770. It was then that efforts were made to acquire the lands needed for this. They began with the purchase of land belonging to the peasants, and through the exchange made with the head of Poręba - Greycark, a large birch forest was added to them [2]. Through reclamation treatments, water conditions were changed, marking out the places for ponds and streams as well as the layout of roads and paths. Moreover, planned plantings gave the final shape to the composition of the park and forest complex. Through successive exchanges of land with peasants, the lands connecting the future farm with the coastal route from Pszczyna to Żory were also conquered. Having the land ready, the economic and landscape concept was implemented, the design of which was provided in 1792 by the ducal architect W. Pusch. At that time, picturesque, crossing promenades, farm buildings, a house for the protector of pheasants and a wooden villa called "Henryk's Spring" were created. On the hill, slightly off the side of the avenue running along its ridge, Frederick Erdmann ordered the summer castle (Lustschloss) to be erected, according to Pusch's plans, which was modeled on the previously published project by Carl Gotthard Langhans. Although it is not known when exactly it began its construction, the exact date of its commissioning is known - June 25, 1800.
