The tower is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. Its rear is adorned with the modern artwork "Radbühne," a work by Breisach artist Helmut Lutz from 2013. The tower itself houses a 41-meter-deep drinking water well and regularly provides space for exhibitions of all kinds for the Breisach Art Circle.

The Radbrunnenturm houses a well that reaches 41 m deep into the rock. It was operated with a treadwheel, which is where the Radbrunnenturm gets its name from. Today, an art center is located within the walls of the Radbrunnenturm.
