The third mud bath house was built in 1892. After the opening, the two were
existing mud bathhouses canceled. Today it is according to the latest criteria
rebuilt and includes apartment units. The Royal Fountain Doctor Ewe opened his newly built villa in the same year and set up a winter cure here for the first time. The later sanatorium is today's Landgrafen-Klinik.

King Hieronymus von Westphalen, Napoleon's brother, introduced mud bathing in Nenndorf in 1809 based on the French model and had the first mud bath house built. In 1840 the second bathhouse was built. Another, this time solidly built of brick, was inaugurated in 1892 according to modern medical knowledge and expanded after 1900 with a wing on Poststrasse. The two older half-timbered houses were then demolished.
