The Col de lagorge is one of the most famous passes in the Vosges and is 1,139 meters above sea level. In winter it is a winter sports center with the corresponding ski lifts. In summer it is a destination for excursions but also a starting point for hiking tours. A summer toboggan run is right next door. There is also a restaurant/brasserie with a terrace. Parking is plentiful, but can get tight in winter.

Hike routes e.g. Sentier des Roches start here. There are plenty of parking spaces for leaving the cars behind and many restaurants for the tired / hungry / thirsty folks. All hiking routes are highly recommended.

Starting point and free parking. Starting point for straw Meierpfad. Otherwise very touristy.

From one of the parking lots on the pass you can do various interesting tours.
Above all, the Strohmeyerpfad and the Hirschsteinpfad start right here.
If you start the tours from a different point, there is a rest stop here.

Good starting point for hikes, e.g. to Hohneck. Huge parking lot, the immediate area is rather "noisy", but if you set off quickly, you can quickly immerse yourself in the peace and quiet of the forest and mountains.
