The old town with the castle and the harbor is absolutely worth seeing.
The origins of the Castello Scaligero in Lazise on Lake Garda go back to the Middle Ages. The castle was built towards the end of the 9th century. At that time, it served the locals primarily as a defense against enemies. In the 13th century, the building was renovated by the Scaligers. Even today, the castle is one of the best-preserved defenses on Lake Garda. Many visitors come here every day and are impressed by the sight.

This lively town on the southeast of Lake Garda has a car-free medieval old town surrounded by a well-preserved, crenellated city wall.

The narrow harbor basin with its lively waterfront promenade stretches deep into the narrow streets and small squares. Cozy restaurants, bars and cafes are lined up here. The colorful rows of houses in the old town center are great for strolling and shopping and there is always something going on in Lazise in the evenings.

Outside the old town there is a mighty six-tower Scalier castle in a beautiful park and south of the town there is a long beach - although you have to pay for it. There you will also find a variety of well-equipped, child-friendly campsites with their own swimming facilities. This and the proximity to theme parks such as Gardaland or Canevaworld make Lazise an extremely popular family holiday destination.

Strandwed south of Lazise Cycling is partly prohibited, partly high flowing sand.
It's better to take the main road and after 200m turn left onto a side road, then keep right until you reach the blue cycle path.

Lazise has a special flair. But if you want to eat well, I have to look for something outside. Cycling along the lake is mostly comparable to an obstacle race, but here you don't want to unwind kilometers, but rather glide along comfortably.
