The Llobregat is an important river in Catalonia, Spain, which rises in the municipality of Castellar de Nuch and flows into the Mediterranean Sea.

Its source is located in the town of Castellar de Nuch (Barcelona) at an altitude of 1,259 m in the Sierra del Cadí and its mouth in the Mediterranean Sea, in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat. The entirety of its basin is located in Catalonia. It crosses the coastal mountain range, alternating industrial use in the gorges with agriculture in the plains. It flows into a swampy delta. In that area there are many towns that in their time were essentially agricultural and that include Llobregat in their name, such as San Baudilio de Llobregat, Cornellá de Llobregat or El Prat de Llobregat itself. The river exceeds 170 km in length and has a basin of 4,948 km².
