The foundation stone was laid on May 11, 1729 by Pastor Otto Heinrich Lützen, Deacon Jacob Friis and Lehnsvogt Broder Bahnsen. Your initials are on the west and east gables.
The red bricks from the previous building that had been demolished were used for the new building. The yellow bricks were bought additionally.

The Christ Church in Niebüll is a Protestant church that was built in 1729.
It is located at Kirchenstraße 6, 25899 Niebüll.
The church has an eventful history and has been renovated several times. The previous church was built in the Gothic style and stood in what is now the Langstoft district until the devastating storm surge of 1362. The storm surge damage was so severe that the church was demolished and rebuilt in the Gothic style in the dune area of the new Niebüll settlement. Niebüll was first mentioned as a church location in 1436. The south pier from 1778 (next to the former sexton's house) - restored in 1925 - has two gates of different sizes, each of which has three symbols arranged in a cross: rings, scales and sword, and cross, heart and anchor. Unfortunately, only sparse reports have been preserved about the furnishings of the previous churches.
Because of its good acoustics, the Christ Church also hosts concerts by national cultural institutions, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Danish Sønderjyllands Symphony Orchestra.
