About Louis Changuion Trail
If you feel like a challenge and a bit of fresh air then make your way down to Haenertsburg and join the Louis Changuion Trail. This 11 kilometer circular walk shows off the afro-montane grasslands and all the beauty it holds.
Stroll toward the cemetery through indigenous forest areas and grasslands. Here you will see a number of endemic plants and stunning flowers. The views are breathtaking and its definitely worth taking along a camera.
A small babbling brook on the way is great for dipping your toes into to cool down or to stop for a break. Many picnic spots are dotted all around, ensuring you have a nice place to sit, eat lunch and be able to take in the beauty around you.
If you are lucky enough in season you may be able to spot the Blue Swallow and Wolkberg Zulu Butterfly from September to April
