At the intersection of Friedberger-Anlage and Sandweg there is a testimony to Frankfurt's city history: Here at the end of the Zeil and unmistakable from afar is the 9m high clock tower. which adorns a knight with a hat and flag at its head. Established in 1894 and donated by the Ostend Association at the time, it was the focal point of the FFM Ostend at the end of the 19th century. The little tower not only served as a time guide but was also an important and popular meeting point for the district.
