On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Werner Seelenbinder's death, a historical memorial plaque was unveiled on December 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. The approximately 40-meter-high bell tower on the festival meadow was given its name in 1959 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Seelenbinder's death.

On the south side of the stadium is the 43 m high Werner Seelenbinder Tower, which served as a bell tower and carries a flame bowl. - From 2000 to 2004, the central stadium was converted into a pure football stadium with (only) 45,000 seats, with the new stadium being built into the old wall. The main building and bell tower were retained.
