Although located right at the entrance to the Königsforst in Cologne-Rath, the burial mounds are unknown to most hikers. A small dangling to the left, just opposite the paddocks, and you are already in front of a historic city from the 6th century BC Even then, the "far out" king forest was already populated.

There seem to have been burial mounds here in the past. There is still a sign pointing to this, but even with a lot of imagination you can't see anything anymore. But it doesn't matter, it's a beautiful path in the forest with a very soft forest floor.

An interesting area with clearly visible hill fields. Information boards that deal with the topic in detail. The wooden staircase at the Rather entrance takes you directly to this area.
