    The wooden Kisok on the Zabelstein is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12 o'clock. You get here in addition to cold and hot drinks and small dishes from the grill.

                Nicely protected from the Bay. Established by state forests, there is a large pavilion with rustic tables and benches in the middle of the castle area. The log cabin next door is served all year round on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12 noon.

                        Explanation of the name and symbolism:
                        "frey" is the medieval spelling for "free". The "Freyen" were a class between rulers and serfs. The "Y" is an ancient protective symbol, a heraldic image on which a Franconian diamond is supposed to make the appreciation for our homeland visible from afar. Red is the color of passion and fire... It has the highest energy of all colors. More at freyamzabelstein.de/index.html

                            The Frey am Zabelstein kiosk is located right next to the Zabelstein ruins. The owner is an artist who designed the interior and probably also the pavilions himself. Coffee and cake are available here. Also bratwurst and plucked bread. Beer and non-alcoholic drinks come from the Göller brewery in Zeil am Main. Wine and schnapps come from the villages right next to the Zabelstein. The prices are absolutely fair.

                              It looks very deserted and unused. There are no signs, no indication that the kiosk is open. The attached restrooms smell from afar and don't look trustworthy anymore.
