In the summer of 2007, a medicinal herb garden based on the templates of old monastery herb gardens was laid out in an area of today's baroque garden. It vividly conveys the healing knowledge and the healing arts of earlier generations of monks and is freely accessible to the public.
The garden is divided into four large compartments with more than 300 different plants. The type of classification and the selection and grouping of plants according to properties and organ systems go back to old models of monastic medicine. The center of the garden is an Irish cross that used to adorn the west gable of the church roof. (See website of the monastery)
