Beautiful rest area on the Old Rhin, designed primarily for travelers on the water (canoeists, etc.). Getting there by bike is torture because the paths from Wall or Zietenhorst are terrible. On foot, of course, it's no problem. The rest area has a jetty, a covered table with benches, a trash can, and a dry toilet. There isn't much space for tents, but there is a cleared area to the left of the actual rest area that you can use. It will be difficult for hammock users to set up a tent because there aren't enough suitable trees. Every now and then you get a visit from anglers who sometimes come by car. Otherwise, a wonderful place for nature lovers. Tawny owls, beavers, and especially during the migration period in September and October, many cranes live here, which fly low over the area in the morning but make a hell of a noise at night.
