The shipping company FRS Elbe ferry currently has 4 ferries: F / S Glückstadt (built in 1959), F / S Wilhelm Kroos (built in 1970), FS Ernst Sturm (built in 1979 and F / S Wischhafen (built in 1988).
The 4 ferries have a capacity of 33 to 60 cars per ship. They run every 30 minutes from Wischhafen and Glückstadt - from early in the morning to late at night in just 20 minutes across the Elbe.

The Elbe ferry has been running from Glückstadt to Wischhafen in Lower Saxony since 1919. It is the only Elbe crossing north of Hamburg with modern large ferries for passenger transport and motor vehicles.

The 4 ferries - RV Ernst Sturm, F / S Wilhelm Kroos, F / S Glückstadt and F / S Wischhafen - have a capacity of 55 to 60 cars per ship. The passage height is up to 5.50m.

The ferry service runs all year round according to a fixed timetable, with increased traffic every 20 minutes. The crossing takes about 25 minutes. Restoration is also offered on all ships during the day.
