The Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen is an area of approximately 520 hectares in the municipalities of Heumen and Wijchen, province of Gelderland. The area consists of about twenty named pools. There are some beautiful (narrow) cycle paths through the area. The other trails are only accessible to hikers.

Even though the sandy paths here are prohibited for cyclists, the cycle path that runs through this area is also worthwhile!

Moorland with ponds, heath and forest near Njmegen. Very good route for bike. Developed by targeted water construction measures etc. only in recent times.
