The colony, which covers 140,000 m2, is made up of the factory, an inn with nine terraced houses on either side, with three floors and an attic and semicircular and lowered arch openings, a row of 4 houses for to leaders, gardens, a sports area, a ditch, a church and a farmhouse. The whole colony is built of modernist-style faceted river stone, which blends in perfectly with nature.

In 1859 a tannery was established, which later became a spinning mill. It passed into the hands of different owners, the last of whom, Calvet, renovated buildings and houses and built a new bridge in 1923. The project was supervised by Gaudí himself, who had the model of the church changed. several times. In 1928 Calvet collapsed and the works were stopped. In 1930 it was bought by the Ymbern company and put into operation in 1931. In 1970 there were 144 inhabitants. From 1975 onwards, it gradually began to be abandoned, as the inhabitants bought houses in Torelló. The inhabitants of the colony came from the town of Priego, in Córdoba.
