    Invermoriston’s Thomas Telford bridge makes a spectacular crossing over the River Moriston falls. Nestled amidst a breathtakingly-beautiful landscape, the bridge is a much-loved spot and is a great place to watch salmon leaping upstream. Built in 1813, the bridge was part of the main road between Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus until a new bridge was built to replace it in the 1930s.

              Just as you enter Invermoriston from the south on A82 look out for the old bridge on the left side, built by Thomas Telford. If you continue a further 100m there is a car park on the right with easy walking to the old bridge and falls.

                An interesting old bridge, with a good view of waterfalls. The car park in the village centre is just a short walk along the road, and makes an ideal stop off point to see the river.
