Hotel Le Prese
The Albergo Bagni spa house was built in 1855 on the shores of Lake Poschiavo. It was a popular recreational destination for high society at the time.
In 1904, Kraftwerke Brusio AG [Rätia Energie, Repower] acquired the hotel. The new owner now ran a renowned holiday hotel, which offered its guests peace and quiet and was also very popular because of its glamorous lido.
For more than a century, many guests returned to the Hotel Le Prese to spend their holidays there in the summer season, including many Swiss and European personalities from business and culture. They appreciated the always neat and cozy ambience, the lake, the park and the garden, where they could relax on their walks.
Thanks to an extremely successful restructuring, the new owner Irma Sarasin managed to restore the Hotel Le Prese to its former glory in 2013.
Almost two centuries after its construction, the Hotel Le Prese has retained the fascination of yesteryear: the fantastic location, the wonderful park, the small bay in the hotel garden, the view of the lake and the mountains, the tranquility of days gone by.
