                  Schleinsee (Kressbronn)

                  Schleinsee is a district of the municipality of Kressbronn am Bodensee in Baden-Württemberg Bodenseekreis in Germany.

                  location

                  Schleinsee, which belonged to the municipality of Tannau until 1829 and is now a district of Tettnang, is around four kilometers north-east of the center of Kressbronn on the Schleinsee that gives it its name.

                  The Tettnang district of Unterwolfertsweiler lies to the north-west, Wielandsweiler to the north-east, Busenhaus am Degersee to the east and Wettis to the south-east. Riedensweiler lies to the south and Nitzenweiler borders Schleinsee to the south-west.

                  At the foot of the village lies the 14.1-hectare Schleinsee, which is a maximum of 12.1 meters deep. Like the Degersee, which is 400 meters to the east and is about twice as large, the Schleinsee was formed as a meltwater lake towards the end of the last ice age around 15,000 years ago.
