Visocica is a mountain range in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Geologically, Visočica is part of the Dinaric Alps and is mainly formed of secondary and tertiary sedimentary rocks, mainly limestone and dolomite. Due to the underground non-porous geological layers, the typical karst characteristics of the nearby Herzegovina mountains are relatively absent on Visocica, which results in sufficient water sources, even at altitudes of around 1500–1700 m. Spring lakes, however, tend to dry out towards summer soon. Some smaller streams spring from these mountains as tributaries to the border rivers: Ljuta in the east, Rakitnica on the northern and western slopes and Neretva to the south. Significant peaks are the Mosque (1974 m), Vito (1960 m), Veliko Ljeljen (1963 m), Crveni Kuk (1733 m) and Veliko Toholj (1837 m). Wikipedia site: hr2.wiki
