The Mittelmühle is looked after by the Büren local history association in collaboration with the city of Büren.
The current condition is thanks to a fundamental renovation carried out some time ago.
The drilling mill is in the immediate vicinity. There, tree trunks were drilled through the middle for the city of Büren's water pipe at the time so that they could be used as a water pipe. Contemporary witnesses include the old Kümpe (well) that still stands near the Büren churches.
