Anyone who would like to find out more about the foolishness and nature of Till Eulenspiegel can not ignore this museum.

Here is the St. Stephanus Church it is the symbol of the city and everyone knows the history:

When the grass grows vigorously, people are happy. But when the church tower is green with grass and moss, it looks bad.

The people of Schöppenstedt thought so too. The clever mayor had long thought about how to get all the grass down from the church tower.

"I've got it," he shouted, "get an ox out of the stable, let it eat up the grass!"

The ox was brought. The roofer had to climb onto the church and put a long rope around the tower.

Now one end of the rope was tied around the ox's neck, and at the other end the people had to pull.

Finally the ox let its tongue hang wide out of its mouth.

When the mayor saw this, he shouted loudly: "Do you see that? He's already licking!"

But it wasn't long before the ox stopped moving. He couldn't stand being hung up and was dead as a couple.

The steeple has become crooked from all the dragging. And that's still the case today.

On the way to the Museum von Till you can still find the 22nd, 14th, 80th, and the 8th history.

When visiting the museum I was pleasantly surprised, I thought 10-15 minutes and the thing is done, but you can easily spend 1 - 2 hours there. Thumbs up.
