    The Reuthin Monastery is a former Dominican monastery and was built between around 1252 and 1284. Today the area houses the Wildberg local history museum, as well as other cultural institutions and a park.

        The monastery, founded by Burkhard IV of Hohenberg, was built between 1252 and 1284 as a Dominican monastery. From 1313 there was a beguine cell, and in 1470 a new beguine house was built. Reuthin Monastery was the house monastery of the Counts of Hohenberg. Many of their daughters came to the monastery and donated their dowries.[2] Among the approximately 240 nuns known by name, there are not only members of the House of Hohenberg but also members of the regional lower nobility and daughters of the honorable families of the neighboring towns as far as Rottenburg. The monastery was economically very stable, which was an exception in the late Middle Ages.

        The monastery was plundered during the Peasants' War in 1525. Due to the Reformation in the Duchy of Württemberg, it was dissolved during the term of office of Duke Ulrich of Württemberg and fell to the Duchy of Württemberg. After 1535 the nuns refused to accept the Reformation faith. A settlement in 1559 made a long-drawn-out process of desecration possible.[3] From 1570 onwards, the buildings served as the monastery's stewardship. In 1824, the church and main building were destroyed in a major fire.
