Although for many Lech is the only destination of their winter trip, the trip to Zug is definitely worth it! Already the way into the small village is just fantastically beautiful. The traditional church with its onion-shaped dome gives the place a rustic feel.

Zug Church of St. Sebastian
The route from Lech to Zug stretches westwards through untouched nature, lined with fir forests and alpine pastures, and takes an hour's walk. After the first houses of Zug, the majestic little church reveals itself. It is said to have been the result of a vow made during the plague in the 17th century and is dedicated to St. Sebastian. The original church was expanded and lengthened. Particularly striking is the square church tower, which tapers to an octagon on the upper floor and is crowned by an imposing onion dome. The sacristy is on the ground floor of the tower. The little church nestles against the tower with its steep shingle roof. Due to the higher street level, four steps lead down from the vestibule to the church portal.
